Common Exercises Performed In An Upland Boot Camp

Meta: Discover a few of the common exercises that you’ll be performing as you get started with your Upland boot camp program.

One of the best methods to get in shape and burn fat quickly is joining an chino hills bootcamp class.  These classes are fast paced, full of others who want to work towards their health and fitness goals, and downright fun.

Most people note that they’ve never enjoyed their workouts as much as they have when doing an Upland boot camp.

If you’re still feeling slightly nervous about joining however, it can help if you have a good idea of what type of exercises you’ll be performing.

Let’s take a look at the most common Upland boot camp exercises that are most commonly integrated into your workout so that you can be prepared to dive right in and reap all the benefits this training has to offer.

Bodyweight Squats

Bodyweight squats are the first movement that’s very often performed when doing a boot camp and will challenge all the muscles in the lower body.  These are great for firing up your metabolism and enhancing your lower body power.

Some trainers will have you hold a weighted bar across your back while others will let you do them without weight, just focusing on moving all the way down through the movement.

Push-Ups

The second of the Upland boot camp exercises that you’ll likely be performing are push-ups.  There are so many different push-up variations that can be performed that this exercise never gets stale when added to a workout program.

The variation that’s used in the class you partake in will be adjusted to meet the fitness level of those who are doing it.

Push-ups are great for increasing total upper body strength and for targeting the core as well.

Burpees

On the cardio side of things, no boot camp would be complete without some burpees.  Burpees are a great way to increase your plyometric power and to target both the lower and upper body at once.

Burpees are often performed between strength movements to help keep your heart elevated and you burning up calories quickly.

Shuttle Runs

Another common form of cardio that you’ll see being included in Upland boot camp classes are shuttle runs.  Shuttle runs are performed with pylons across a field and will increase your sprinting ability and power.

These are also excellent for boosting your metabolic rate so that you continue to burn calories for hours after the session is completed.

Walking Lunges

Finally, walking lunges round out our list of common exercises that you’ll do when performing Upland boot camp sessions.  Walking lunges, like squats, will really target the glutes, quads, and hamstrings, and will also work the core as well.

Your trainer may have you twisting from side to side as you lunge down as well, really bringing those obliques into the movement pattern.

So there you have a few of the top exercises that you’ll be completing.  When you sign up to an Upland boot camp you can be sure no two sessions will ever be the same and each one you complete will bring a new challenge.
